The Lamers Tournament, held annually in fierce sunny locations including Portugal and Spain, is one of the most prestigious events in golf. Known simply as "The LamerCup," this invitational tournament is one of the major championships in professional golf and attracts the best players from Bishopstown and surrounding parishes.
Established in 2022, it combines a rich tradition with challenging courses, where every hole is meticulously designed to test the skills of the greatest lamers. The two teams, the Daemons and the Freebirds are named after gangs in the short film 'The gangs of Waterfall' by Ronan Phelan. The tournament is also famous for it's strict rules of decorum, unique dress code and world renounded nightlife, making it one of the most revered competitions in the world of golf.
